Girls in Tech (GIT) is a global non-profit focused on the engagement, education and empowerment women who are passionate about technology. The organization was founded in 2007 by Adriana Gascoigne, in order to create a framework to help women advance their careers in STEM fields. With headquarters in San Francisco and more than 100,000 members located around the globe, GIT relies on volunteer efforts to lead each of the 60 local chapters. Girls In Tech Dublin is led by Coral Movasseli, who is supported by an official voluntary based Advisory Board. As we are now rapidly growing, we are looking for more colleagues to join our team!
As part of GIT Dublin, you will volunteer with a motivated and collaborative team where you can shape and impact an evolving global organization, get access to a network of professionals including 60 local GIT chapters worldwide and become deeply connected with the Dublin entrepreneurship/startup scene. The work is also remote, flexible, and on a part time basis (evenings and weekends).
Who are we looking for?
At Girls In Tech, we are dedicated to the empowerment, engagement and education of women in the STEM field. In order to keep deliver successful events and projects on this topic, we wish to expand our team with the following roles:
Director of Program Management
We are looking for a Program Manager who will be responsible for the planning and promotion of all GIT Dublin events. Together with the Program Director, you will also be responsible to increase attendance and awareness around the events by promoting our brand across social media platforms, website and blog in collaboration with the marketing and brand team.
Our ideal candidate Experience in sales/business development, event management and/or communications. You are also a skilled and organized project manager who can collaborate with sponsors, partners and other stakeholders on our events.
Director of Content Creation
As Content Creator, you will be responsible for the development and publishing of all GIT content including articles, blogposts and interviews. In this role, you will be meeting with high profile individuals and speakers, take photos & videos during our events and put together all content for publishing.
Our ideal candidate Organized, self-motivated and new-thinking and with experience in digital marketing, journalism, design and/or photography/videography. You also have a strong interest in writing and meeting new people.
Director of Business Development & Outreach
As Business Development & Sales Manager, you will work closely with the Managing Director to secure corporate sponsors and partners on a monthly basis, but also build strategic and long-term relationships with various stakeholders in order to find and secure future partners.
Our ideal candidate Experience in sales, client management and stakeholder management. We are looking for a proactive person with project management and presentation skills and strong ability to sell and promote GIT’s idea and vision
Director of Data & Research
As Director of Data & Research, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing raw data and preparing and co-authoring research publications.
Our ideal candidate Experience in conducting research (primary and secondary), statistics, and being able to extract analysis to support research publications. Experience with writing reports. We are looking for someone who is organised, think methodically, takes the initiatives, and can work autonomously. Academic background in statistics, sociology, data, political science, and business would be ideal, but not mandatory.
