Girls in Tech (GIT) is a global non-profit focused on the engagement, education and empowerment of women who are passionate about technology. The organization was founded in 2007 by Adriana Gascoigne, in order to create a framework to help women advance their careers in STEM fields. With headquarters in San Francisco and more than 100,000 members located around the globe, GIT relies on volunteer efforts to lead each of the 60 local chapters. Girls In Tech Dublin is led by Coral Movasseli, who is supported by an official voluntary based Advisory Board. As we are now rapidly growing, we are looking for more colleagues to join our team!
As part of GIT Dublin, you will volunteer with a motivated and collaborative team where you can shape and impact an evolving global organization, get access to a network of professionals including 60 local GIT chapters worldwide and become deeply connected with the Dublin entrepreneurship/startup scene. The work is also remote, flexible, and on a part time basis (evenings and weekends).
Who are we looking for?
At Girls In Tech, we are dedicated to the empowerment, engagement and education of women in the STEM field. In order to keep deliver successful events and projects on this topic, we wish to expand our team with the following roles:
Director of Data & Research
As Director of Data & Research, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing raw data
and preparing and co-authoring research publications.
Our ideal candidate Experience in conducting research (primary and secondary), statistics, and
being able to extract analysis to support research publications. Experience with writing reports.
We are looking for someone who is organised, thinks methodically, takes the initiatives, and can
work autonomously. Academic background in statistics, sociology, data, political science, and
business would be ideal, but not mandatory.
Director of Digital Marketing
As Director of Digital Marketing, you will be responsible to increase the brand and promotion for GIT Dublin as well as increase our follower base across all social media channels. Together with the team, you will establish and lead marketing activities and campaigns, oversee and maintain social media platforms and approach GIT to a wider target group.
Our ideal candidate has a creative and strategic mindset and experience in digital marketing, marketing automation, leading social media activities and understanding of the lead conversion in order to support the Business Development team
Director of Brand Marketing
As Director of Brand Marketing, you will be responsible for the overall improvement of the Girls In Tech Dublin brand and exposure. You will support the marketing and sales team by leading marketing activities and campaigns for our upcoming events, stay on top of the website and manage the design of swag and other marketing material. This role is a key position in the team, as you will play an important role in the continuous growth of the GIT Dublin chapter.
Our ideal candidate has a creative mindset and experience in UI, graphic design, brand management, leading social media activities and understanding of the sales funnel. Experience from building your own website is a big plus, maybe as an entrepreneur.
Director of Content Creation
As Content Creator, you will be responsible for the development and publishing of all GIT content including articles, blog posts and interviews. In this role, you will be meeting with high profile individuals and speakers, take photos & videos during our events and put together all content for publishing.
Our ideal candidate Organized, self-motivated and new-thinking and with experience in digital marketing, journalism, design and/or photography/videography. You also have a strong interest in writing and meeting new people.
Director of PR & Communications
The PR & Communications Manager is responsible to handle media relations and functions and will be the main liaison for new incoming media collaboration requests such as partnerships and interviews. You will also manage media outreach and coverage and work closely together with the rest of the team to ensure all GIT published material adheres to global communication guidelines.
Our ideal candidate Experience in public/media relations, communications or policy management and with a passion to grow and promote GIT’s brand through expanded media coverage. We are looking for a structured and confident person as you will play an important role in our future growth.
Director of Business Development & Outreach
As Business Development & Sales Manager, you will work closely with the Managing Director to secure corporate sponsors and partners on a monthly basis, but also build strategic and long-term relationships with various stakeholders in order to find and secure future partners.
Our ideal candidate Experience in sales, client management and stakeholder management. We are looking for a proactive person with project management and presentation skills and strong ability to sell and promote GIT’s idea and vision
