Girls in Tech (GIT) is a global non-profit focused on the engagement, education and empowerment of girls and women who are passionate about technology. Adriana Gascoigne founded GIT in 2007 to create a support framework to help women advance their careers in STEM fields.
Girls in Tech Dublin (GITD) launched in March 2017 under the leadership of Coral Movasseli and are composed of a team of Rockstars!
Today, GIT aims to accelerate the growth of innovative women entering into the high-tech industry and building startups. We achieve this through the creation of proprietary, innovative programming and strategic global partnerships.
Across the globe, Girls in Tech exists for anyone with an interest in technology regardless of age or profession, and we operate with the spirit of the girl within all of us—fearless, lively and determined.
Coral Movasseli is the Managing Director of Girls in Tech Dublin, a dedicated platform for women-in-tech and entrepreneurs.
A techie problem solver at heart, Coral co-founded a mobile transit app for Toronto’s transportation system to remove friction points for users. On weekends you can find her lifting an Olympic barbell, fermenting kombucha, baking sourdough, and flexing her photography skills with her Nikon.
Passionate about making an impact in the world, Coral started her career on route to becoming a Canadian diplomat. After completing her Masters of Science at the London School of Economics, her trajectory moved her to advising large private equity funds in London. Since, she’s worked to help companies dissect and digest their business challenges in technology, financial services, clean-tech, manufacturing, and healthcare.
